中国西沙礁相地质
该图册是我国第一部珊瑚礁相地质研究画册，以照片（341幅）为主，辅以有关文字和图表，用中英文对照方式，生动形象地展示了西沙群岛的绮丽风光，揭示了岛屿类型，生物礁体，造礁珊瑚和礁居生物，珊瑚礁海岸地貌，生物砾屑灰岩的沉积构造及其共生的海滩岩，海岸风成生物砂屑灰岩的典型相序及沉积构造、三级界面、伴生的化石土壤层、灰质壳和根管石、蜗牛化石，岩溶地貌和鸟粪堆积等地质特征。
该图册反映了我国浅海碳酸盐沉积学、礁地质学、岛屿地质学、礁相第四纪地层学等领域的新进展，提供了丰富的基础资料，既可供海洋地质、第四纪地质、石油地质、地貌工作者、大专院校地质地貌专业师生阅读，也可供中学地理教师和旅游者参考。

This atlas is the first pictorial introduction to reef sedimentation to be published in China.
It contains 341 illustrations and brief explanations in both Chinese and English.Illustrations of island types,reef complexes,reefbuilding and symbiotic organisms,landforms.rock types,beach rocks,karsts,and eolian biocalcarenites associated with fossil soil,calcrete,and rhizoliths,all combine to present a complete picture of reef sedmientation.
Tne atlas represents new progress in the study of reef sedimentation,reef-island geology,and Quaternary reef facies stratigraphy in China.The data presented within will be of great use to those geologists working on marine geology,petroleum geology, and Quaternary geology,as well as to geographers and undergraduate students concerned with these topics.The book will also be of interest to middle school teachers and to tourists.
