This is a Pharmaceutical Botany,but also a rich book introducing the medicinal plants in China.In the book 1841 species and 51 varieties from 177 families,mainly from Spermatophyta,a few from Sporophyta and with 414 co oured or black-white figures or photo;for the medicinal plants,are syste matically introduced.In each plant the mainly examined character,distrib#tional area,contained chemical const tuents and uses,or addded the substitutes and clarified confused species are indicated.Besides,the rudimentary
pcinciple and knowledge of the classification and traditional theory and uses forthe mediciinal plants are also presented in the book.
